Onam celebration



It was a day off for learning and the students were all set for a celebration.They moved their feet to the rousing beat of the Nasik Dhol that kick started the celebrations.



               




























All the classes participated in the Pookkalam competition in wwhich XI Humanities,XI Science and XII Humanities bagged the first ,second and third positions respectively.This was followed by an array of games.With bubbling enthusiasm students participated in   tug-of-war, spoon race,bottle filling,balloon bursting etc.

REMINISCING INDIA

     

     The students recalled historic men, moments and incidents pertaining to Indian Freedom Struggle as part of commemorating the 69th Indian Independence Day.They conducted an exhibition titled"Reminiscing India- A Stride through Indian Freedom Struggle" that highlighted the strife oppression,and injustice faced by the Indians from the British.It also shed light into the brave efforts and sacrifices of a great number of freedom fighters and leaders.
      They also chose this opportunity to pay homage to Dr.APJ Abdul kalam,former President of India,as the students felt the celebration would have been incomplete sans his mentioning.

Vayana Kalari


                                                        

                           Vayana Kalari ,an initiative of Malayala Manorama to inculcate reading habits in children was launched in the school with the support of the PTA and the teachers.The students will get an opportunity to read Malayala Manorama newspaper daily and can be utilized for their project works too.

Deeksharambham

 Welcome Gesture


The new comers were given a warm reception in a function organised at the school.Radhakrishnan Nair M,  the Principal, briefed the students on the rules and regulations of the school.Anil Kumar, the PTA president presided over the function and Ravinndranatha Warrier,Convener of parliamentry and Literary Affairs club of the school welcomed the gathering.Sreejaya,the Head mistress,NSS school delivered the felicitation address.

Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam - a man of indomitable spirit... the great visionary who kindled hopes about a puissant India ... an impeccable teacher who ignited fire in many young hearts...

His demise is an irreparable loss for entire India  but he will continue to be an inspiration for what he was and what he is!                                                                                         -
       

An awareness programme on anti-narcotics was held at the school in association with the Police Department under the aegis of the Ant-narcotic cell functioning in the school.Rajappan,SI of  Police,Hemambika Police Station led the programme.He sensitized the students on the dreadful effects of using drugs of various kinds and urged them to immune themselves from such inclinations and inform the police about drug trafficking of any sort at school.
